Ac•Rock (United States)
Ac•Rock is guerilla a cappella: unencumbered by cords, unconfined by the proscenium arch, breaking through the fourth wall to get up-close and personal with the audience. It's intimate interactive a cappella rock 'n roll cabaret improv theater. It's live. It's happening. No tricks, no tracks. No octave doublers or slap delays or regenerating loops. This is real singing coming from four guys who perform every note you hear. Yes, it's Ac•Rock, constantly changing and evolving to create a freshness and spontaneity that make each of their live shows uniquely one-of-a-kind. Performing everyone's favorites from the 50's through the 90's, Ac•Rock sings both the doo-wop standards audiences expect and more recent rock hits people might not expect to be performed a cappella. It's an engaging mix of tightly-crafted music and freewheeling humor that pleases audiences of all ages. Now in its fourteenth year, Ac•Rock has sung for the Cubs, the White Sox and the Bulls. They've opened for Al Franken, Wayne Brady and Bernie Mac. They've appeared on WGN Morning News, Channel 5 News, Wild Chicago and many radio stations. Ac•Rock is Paul Iams (tenor), JD Mathein (tenor), Chris Brown (baritone) and Mark MacLean (bass). Ac•Rock recently released its fifth CD, "Flying Colors". Their previous CDs include UR What UR, Acappellago, Guaranteed To Satisfy and Out Of The Box. Visit their website at www.acrock.com. [ top ] © Festival 500 Designed by AppleCore Interactive |
