Sanna Valvanne

Sanna Valvanne is an inspiring children's and youth choir conductor originally from Finland. She is known for her Creative Choral Method - Making Music Body and Soul, which approaches singing from a holistic perspective, combines movement and drama with vocal expression and grows out of her background in music, dance and theater. Since 1994 Sanna has been invited as a clinician and guest conductor to share her method and enthusiasm with choirs around the world. Currently she is working in the US as the new artistic director of the North American Choral Company.

Sanna sang with the world-famous Tapiola Choir for 13 years and for five years was the choir's vocal trainer and conductors' assistant. In 1998 Sanna graduated with her Master's Degree in music from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Her children's and youth choir program, with the Kameleontti-choirs in Finland, received rave reviews. Featuring songs from around the world with their fresh and dynamic approach, Sanna and the choirs' popularity led to an ongoing series of TV programs on the Finnish National Broadcasting Company.

Apart from music education, Sanna is a singer, songwriter, actor and a versatile performer. She has performed her songs in concerts, theatres and television.
