This concert is part of a province-wide tour sponsored by Festival 500. Following their performance in St. John’s Ac•Rock will be featured at Festival 500’s two regional events: Corner Brook May 25-27 and Happy Valley Goose Bay May 22-24. The music of Ac•Rock is intimate, interactive, live and happening! Performing everybody’s favorites from the 50’s to the 90’s, this highly acclaimed four-man a Capella group sings a variety of selections from the doo-wop standards to more recent rock hits. This is a one-of-a-kind show you just don’t want to miss! St. John’s will play host to the 6th biennial choral festival, Festival 500 along with The Phenomenon of Singing International Symposium July 1– July 8, 2007. This year’s main festival will include 16 special guest artists including the Irish Celtic Choral group Anúna; our own Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers; and Canada’s foremost musical comedienne and Bathroom divas star Mary Lou Fallis. Festival 500 Sharing the Voices is a celebrated international non-competitive festival of choral music. This prestigious choral festival and academic symposium brings together internationally renowned conductors and scholars, in addition to the 30 plus choirs totaling over 1,500 singers representing 11 different countries from five continents.
