Festival 500 welcomes individuals to come and share in this incredible choral experience. Individuals who are not performing with a registered choir are invited to attend workshops led by choral experts, hear dynamic choirs from around the world each evening, share in the spirit and excitement of the Opening Ceremonies, sing as part of the Come Solo Festival Choir under the direction of Sandra Snow (United States) and sing in the Festival 500 Massed Adult Choir at the Grand Finale concert under the direction of Bob Chilcott (United Kingdom). Capacity is limited for this option, so be sure to register early.
"Having the opportunity to sing in the massed choir, the people you meet, the celebrations, the parties…Festival 500 offers as much as you can handle."
- Ann Hughes (Come Solo participant 1999-2011)

Festival 500 offers the exciting opportunity for individual
participants and choirs to rehearse and sing together in a huge
choir, with a full symphony orchestra! In 2013, this
opportunity will include the Festival 500 Massed Adult Choir (SATB
voicing) under the direction of Bob Chilcott (United Kingdom). The massed
performance will be presented at the Grand Finale concert on July
10, 2013 along with Witloof Bay, the Festival 500 Massed
Youth Choir and the Newfoundland
Symphony Orchestra... to an audience of thousands!

Come Solo participants also have the option to sing in the
popular Come Solo Festival Choir under the
direction of Sandra Snow (United States). Individuals
from all over the world will come together to form their very own
choir, rehearse together throughout the week and then perform as a
featured choir at an evening concert! Past participants are
still telling us how much fun they had last time. Don't miss all
the fun... come sing with us!
Come Solo participants are required to purchase repertoire for the Grand Finale concert and Come Solo Festival Choir performance (if participating). The cost of this repertoire is in addition to the Come Solo registration fee.
Festival 500 offers workshops for all
participants on four afternoons during the Festival week. Workshop
clinicians include Francisco Núñez
(United States), David Moss (Germany), Mia Makaroff (Finland) Kathy Armstrong (Canada) and Witloof Bay (Belgium).
